The mission of the Building Inspections is to ensure the safety and welfare of the general public by enforcing structural, building, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical code regulations within the Town of Copper Canyon. Enforcement is achieved through plan review prior to the issuance of a permit and on-site inspections after permit issuance to verify compliance throughout the construction process.
It is essential that you contact us before you begin construction to find out if you need a permit. Even if a permit is not needed, we will answer construction questions and may provide valuable advice.
After the permit is approved, the contractor must schedule the required inspections. To request an inspection, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
All inspection requests must be made through the town office. Inspections MAY NOT be scheduled directly with the building inspector. Requests for inspections that are requested by 8 a.m. will be scheduled the following business day. Inspections emailed after 8 a.m. will be scheduled within 2 business days. Inspections that do not meet the requirements will be issued a red tag and a re-inspection fee of $75 will be required. A green tag left at the construction site indicates approval.
